Care guide
Looking after your pieces.
With a little care, your jewelry can stay beautiful for years. Here's how to look after each piece in everyday wear.
Everyday habits
True for every piece, regardless of material:
- Put your jewelry on last — after perfume, lotion or hairspray.
- Take it off before the shower, the sea, the pool or sleep.
- Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear.
- Store each piece separately so chains don't tangle and pieces don't scratch each other.
Stainless steel · gold-plated
Most of our pieces are stainless steel with a gold finish. They're durable for everyday wear and gentle on skin, but the plating can wear gradually over time and with frequent friction.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh scrubbing.
- Clean with warm water and a little mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- If the plating loses its shine over time, get in touch — we can advise on care or re-plating.
Sterling silver 925
Sterling silver tarnishes naturally over time. That's not damage — it's a natural property of the metal.
- Polish it with a dedicated silver-cleaning cloth when it starts to darken.
- Store it in a closed box or pouch when you're not wearing it, to slow tarnishing.
- Avoid contact with chlorine, sulphur and hot springs, which accelerate tarnishing.
Natural stones · pearls
Every natural stone has small differences in colour and texture, and needs slightly more careful handling.
- Don't use ultrasonic cleaners or strong jewelry-cleaning solutions.
- Clean only with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight, which can affect their colour over time.
Zircon and synthetic stones
More durable for everyday wear, but they also benefit from gentle care.
- Clean with warm water, a little soap and a soft brush around the stone setting.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Storage
Keep your pieces in the Pink Pearl pouch or a soft-lined box, away from humidity and direct sunlight.
To avoid knots, hang chains by their clasp or store them separately.
